Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Sentiqra API platform at sentiqra.tech ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
Sentiqra provides deterministic semantic-analysis APIs across multiple domains including Trust & Safety, Cybersecurity, Discrimination, Emotion Analysis, Crisis Intelligence, Market Intelligence, Disinformation & Manipulation, and Customer Service Intelligence.
The Service is provided as an API platform with usage-based pricing tiers. We do not store submitted content beyond the request lifecycle.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of applicable law, or submit content that applicable law prohibits you from possessing, transmitting, or processing. Submitting harmful, abusive, or suspected unlawful material for safety analysis, moderation, compliance, or legitimate research - the Service's intended function - is not, by itself, a violation of this section. You remain responsible for confirming that submitting particular material and acting on the results are lawful in your jurisdiction and context.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or replicate our detection models or taxonomy
- Share, resell, or sublicense API access without written authorization
- Circumvent rate limits, spend caps, API key allowances, or account restrictions (usage beyond the included quota on a paid plan is billed overage, not a violation)
- Use the Service to build a competing detection or moderation product
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service infrastructure
4. API Usage and Rate Limits
- Rate limits - each plan specifies requests per second (RPS) and burst limits. Requests exceeding these limits return HTTP 429.
- Monthly quota - each plan specifies a monthly included-quota. The rule differs by plan type: Free is a hard cap - requests beyond quota return HTTP 429 until the next billing cycle or a plan upgrade. Paid plans continue past quota into automatic overage billed at the plan's published per-1K rate, up to the plan's overage ceiling or a spend cap you configure; requests beyond that return HTTP 429. Enterprise terms are set by contract.
- API keys - each plan specifies a maximum number of active API keys. Keys inherit your account's domain, language, rate-limit, and quota entitlements.
- Fair use - we reserve the right to throttle or suspend accounts exhibiting abusive patterns.
5. Billing and Payment
- Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe or PayPal.
- Payment is due at the start of each billing cycle.
- Failed payments trigger a dunning process; accounts may be suspended after multiple failed attempts.
- Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated.
- Overage charges apply to paid-plan usage beyond the included quota, billed per 1,000 analyzer runs at the plan's published rate, and invoiced with the next billing cycle. The Free plan has no overage - it stops at quota.
- Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
- Invoices are available in the portal and retained for 7 years per tax compliance requirements.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact billing@sentiqra.tech for refund requests.
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key commitments:
- We do not use your submitted content for model training.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- Submitted content is processed in-memory and not persisted.
7. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control, including third-party infrastructure (cloud infrastructure and processing providers).
Latency and uptime figures published on our performance page are informational performance targets and historical measurements - they are not contractual commitments under these Terms. Service level commitments, and any associated remedies such as service credits, apply only where agreed in a separate written agreement (for example, an Enterprise agreement).
Current service status is available at our status page.
8. Intellectual Property and Results License
Sentiqra retains all rights to the Service, including detection models, taxonomy, and platform software. You retain all rights to the content you submit for analysis.
Detection results, verification receipts, and event records the Service returns to you ("Results") are licensed to you for use within your products and operations, including the evidence workflows the Service is designed to support. Without limiting that license - and including after your subscription ends (see Section 9) - you may:
- Retain Results you previously obtained, including verification receipts, event records, and exported account data;
- Disclose relevant Results to your auditors, regulators, legal counsel, insurers, and professional advisers who are bound to protect them and who receive them for review purposes - not for redistribution or reuse as a data product;
- Use Results to document, explain, or appeal automated or human decisions taken using the Service, and to respond to regulatory investigations, audits, legal process, or lawful government requests;
- Display relevant Results to your own end users - for example, an explanation of signals attached to a moderation decision or an appeal response;
- Verify receipts and event records offline using the public verification keys we publish at
/v1/verify/public-keyand the standalone verifier we distribute. Verification requires no live API credential: v3 receipts bind to a customer-held binding key (bk_) that verifies input commitments but can never authenticate API requests.
These permitted disclosures are separate from commercial redistribution. You may not: sell, sublicense, or redistribute raw detection results in bulk or as a standalone data product; resell or broker API access without written authorization; or use Results to train, evaluate, or replicate a competing detection or moderation model.
9. Termination
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or exhibit abusive usage patterns.
- Upon termination, your API keys are revoked immediately and paid inference access ends. Historical usage data is retained per our data retention policy.
- Evidence rights survive termination. Termination of paid access does not affect Results you already obtained: you may continue to retain them, disclose them as permitted under Section 8, and verify them offline. The public verification keys are published openly - they are not API secrets and are not gated on an active subscription - and the standalone verifier is a self-contained document that runs without contacting the Service. Verifying a receipt never requires disclosing a live API credential.
- Because we do not persist submitted content or per-request results, evidence retention is your responsibility: the Results and receipts in your systems (plus any account export you download before closure) are the evidence trail - we cannot reissue receipts for content we never stored.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Inference is deterministic for the same normalized input and pinned configuration; scores are signal-match strength rankings, and results may still contain false positives or false negatives. You are responsible for how you use and act on detection results.
We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sentiqra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on our website. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
